Can I Tell You A Secret?

“Why are you up?”

“I was reading.”

“What were you reading?”

“A page in the Bible.”

“Why?”

“It was the page I found your note in.”

“You remembered the page?”

“I saw a verse in it that I liked. I think I'll have it as my book's title.”

It was the First Epistle to the Corinthians.
Chapter Thirteen.
Verse Thirteen.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.

V.I.U.

Updates!

I had my Mother Tongue O's Oral Exam yesterday.

And it was a mess.

Well no, not really. I managed to read the passage without any problems but the conversation was slightly... absurd. I stumbled most of my words and I just blurted out everything. They asked me questions about healthy foods (which was rather easy but I thought they're going to ask something more ~serious~ so this question caught me off guard), dieting, etc. It's such a shame that I forgot to talk about Yuri's recent diet. I mean, if I talked about it, it'll be a great example that I can use for the question. But meh my mind went blank so in the end I just said anything that came into my mind sobs.

Another update is umm... I'm wearing a spectacles now.

Sadly most of my schoolmates thought that I'm using it for ~style~ instead of because of my degree. I need to tell them that I can't see properly and this specs I'm using is not a fashion item. Wina told me I'll look like a geek with specs on but yeah she IS true. I look like a dork!

Last but not least, the most exciting update will be....

ALL ABOUT FREAKING FLAWLESS GIRLS' GENERATION IS OUT!!!!!!

I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN WILL MY COPY OF THIS GLORIOUS DVD WILL REACH MY DOORSTEP BUT OMG!!!!! IT'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!

720 minutes footage + reality shows + mvs + etc of them, cramped in 6 dvds. And also another 40pgs photobook consisting of breathtaking photos of them. Man, this video will be my perfect getaway from school. I can just go to sleep, wake up in the morning, watch the whole 11 hours DVD, and go back to sleep again. Simple. How I wish I can have that kind of lifestyle everyday lol.

Anyway, I'm meeting oppars tomorrow. B2ST is throwing their very first fanmeeting event in Singapore and I'm very glad that I'll be there to attend it.

Marketing strategy your ass?

Apparently one psycho guy sent couple of coffins to media agencies yesterday and that includes to someone I know really well in my life.

I was startled, surprised, SHOCKED, when I received the picture of this coffin. It was still in the box, half opened so that I can see a glimpse of it. It was brown, big, and complete with the "Rest In Peace" words carved on the wood.

What the fuck.

First thing first, I came out with an idea that the sender is beyond crazy and stupid. WHO THE HELL IN THE WORLD SENT COFFINS TO SOMEONE WHEN THIS PERSON IS STILL ALIVE AND HEALTHY?

Well after minutes of panicking like a mother who lost her child in the department store (what is this metaphor), I got the news that this 'coffin terror' was just a 'creative' way to promote this mental person's new book. Yes, his book, which I didn't even care to look for the title because the promotion itself scared the hell out of me. Wait, I did take note that the book... is about something marketing, media, whatever, being killed by the new era, or whatsoever... Gosh. I'm just too lazy to search for the title but I remembered that it is about something being killed by something and there's a "RIP" written somewhere in the title as well.

Apparently the person chose to sent coffins as to attract the medias' attention due to its very 'creative' method. Sorry to say, but this method is just too grotesque. Sending coffins to people without any announcement will only make you look like you're terrorizing the medias. You can pull something less obnoxious than that. Isn't coffins' expensive as well? Sigh, the next time you want to launch a book about elephants, make sure you ship three elephants to me.

Talk about marketing strategies, I kind of... got tricked by Pringles yesterday.

The "Big Can" basically, is just the same with the normal can. There's nothing in between the yellow part of the can lol the chips start to accumulate from the green part all the way to the bottom part of the can. This is a bit irrelevant but I kind of find this to be interesting. Just like when I first found out that Mcdonalds' only gives us a bit of Pepsi yet loads of ice blocks in our cups.

I was like 6 years old when I discovered that.

Resonance

“Then what do you think of when you hear the word ‘happiness’?”
“Your eye-smiles, laughter, and hugs, bring me all the happiness I could need.”

“What about ‘stealing’?”
“You’ve stolen my heart long ago, and I’m not intent on getting it back.”

“’Money’”
“No amount of money in the world could equate to how much you are to me.”

“’Thugs’”
“I’d beat the living crap of anyone who tries to mess with you.”

“’God’”
“I believe in him only for the sole reason that He brought you into this world.”

“’Death’”
“The day I die is when you leave me.”

“’Drugs’”
“Your love is my drug, and I don’t plan on quitting this addiction.”

“’Cucumbers’”
“…If you really wanted me to, I’d eat it for you.”

Love does strange things, you know?

Char Kuay and Chicken Rice

Another random Saturday I had this week.

Just my normal routines. Woke up at 8, took a shower, ate my breakfast and then head for tuition. Class was okay, my teacher's back from the US so I kinda back to my 'old-self' in the class. Cracking up random jokes and I actually learned new things about sharks. Me and my tuition-mates watched Jaws and it was actually my first time watching it. It was so intense that I almost dug my own nails into my palms, especially the part when the main character was about to shot the shark. Well nonetheless the movie was damn sadistic. I couldn't stand watching a little boy being eatan up by a shark.

Later in the afternoon I asked the two Jakarta dudes to come to Chua Chu Kang. Yeah they actually travelled all the way from Somerset to where I live. We head to this hawker centre in Teck Whye to get some good halal and cheap Chinese cuisine.

Located right one stop away from Pioneer Junior College, you can enjoy couple of decent and halal Chinese foods for only $3 - $10. The place wasn't as big as what I expected. I'm not really the type of person to eat in Hawker Centres (this is actually the third time for me to eat hawker foods) so at first I though it'll be as big as the ones in Holland Village. There's like only 5 or 6 stalls there. Seafood stall, chicken rice, yong tau foo, rojak, etc.

My schoolmate recommended me to try their chicken rice. I asked for more soysauce and it was good. Well maybe not as good as the ones in those fine dining restaurant but this was good enough for me. Too bad the portion was a bit to small. I felt like ordering another plate but at the same time I'm scared I wont be able to finish it.

For 'dessert', I tried the "Char Kuay" from the Rojak stall. Its like 'cakwe' but they put 'bumbu kacang' on top. The unique part is that they actually fried the 'cakwe' again before they pour the sauce on top. It tasted funny... Something like 'pecel' or 'gado-gado' but the 'cakwe' version of it. I can't find the perfect words to explain it but this is definitely a must for tourists who are interested in absurd foods.

Although all of the food that we tried was probably only around the 'okay' range, it still satisfied my stomach (and my wallet too).
