Resonance

“Then what do you think of when you hear the word ‘happiness’?”
“Your eye-smiles, laughter, and hugs, bring me all the happiness I could need.”

“What about ‘stealing’?”
“You’ve stolen my heart long ago, and I’m not intent on getting it back.”

“’Money’”
“No amount of money in the world could equate to how much you are to me.”

“’Thugs’”
“I’d beat the living crap of anyone who tries to mess with you.”

“’God’”
“I believe in him only for the sole reason that He brought you into this world.”

“’Death’”
“The day I die is when you leave me.”

“’Drugs’”
“Your love is my drug, and I don’t plan on quitting this addiction.”

“’Cucumbers’”
“…If you really wanted me to, I’d eat it for you.”

Love does strange things, you know?

But even though you're old now you're still allowed to act cute like this

Char Kuay and Chicken Rice

Another random Saturday I had this week.

Just my normal routines. Woke up at 8, took a shower, ate my breakfast and then head for tuition. Class was okay, my teacher's back from the US so I kinda back to my 'old-self' in the class. Cracking up random jokes and I actually learned new things about sharks. Me and my tuition-mates watched Jaws and it was actually my first time watching it. It was so intense that I almost dug my own nails into my palms, especially the part when the main character was about to shot the shark. Well nonetheless the movie was damn sadistic. I couldn't stand watching a little boy being eatan up by a shark.

Later in the afternoon I asked the two Jakarta dudes to come to Chua Chu Kang. Yeah they actually travelled all the way from Somerset to where I live. We head to this hawker centre in Teck Whye to get some good halal and cheap Chinese cuisine.

Located right one stop away from Pioneer Junior College, you can enjoy couple of decent and halal Chinese foods for only $3 - $10. The place wasn't as big as what I expected. I'm not really the type of person to eat in Hawker Centres (this is actually the third time for me to eat hawker foods) so at first I though it'll be as big as the ones in Holland Village. There's like only 5 or 6 stalls there. Seafood stall, chicken rice, yong tau foo, rojak, etc.

My schoolmate recommended me to try their chicken rice. I asked for more soysauce and it was good. Well maybe not as good as the ones in those fine dining restaurant but this was good enough for me. Too bad the portion was a bit to small. I felt like ordering another plate but at the same time I'm scared I wont be able to finish it.

For 'dessert', I tried the "Char Kuay" from the Rojak stall. Its like 'cakwe' but they put 'bumbu kacang' on top. The unique part is that they actually fried the 'cakwe' again before they pour the sauce on top. It tasted funny... Something like 'pecel' or 'gado-gado' but the 'cakwe' version of it. I can't find the perfect words to explain it but this is definitely a must for tourists who are interested in absurd foods.

Although all of the food that we tried was probably only around the 'okay' range, it still satisfied my stomach (and my wallet too).

No Worries

I went out to town to watch Lion King The Musical (or just simply, The Lion King) today.

I watched it once when I was in London last December, so technically I watched the same thing just now. But, they kind of changed some of the scenarios.

I didn't remember the actors said "Ni hao" or "Xie xie" when I was in London. The actors who I presumed were British actually said some of the common Singlish words during their performance.

And there was this scene when Timon tried to convince Simba to 'hakuna matata' and suddenly he said,
"Ya, hakuna matata, no worry lah."

It cracked me up.

Wait, it cracked the WHOLE theater up.

Anyway....

One of my bestie from Jakarta, aka Archie is currently in Singapore. The last time he went to Singapore was like 6 years ago and he told me that he's "buta singapur".  We went around HMV and I found some awesome goodies in HMV. Too bad they overpriced the price again.

For those VIPs who's currently living in Singapore, 313's Uniqlo restocked their Big Bang x Uniqlo collection. They discounted the price as well. I remembered I bought one for $25 last January and now they sell them for only $19.90. I tried to find Taeyang, Seungri and G-Dragon's XS size shirt but the staff told me all of them are sold out :(

I'm looking forward for an awesome, long weekend.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME LISTENING TO CRAPPY ASIAN SONGS

and listen to this instead:

I swear I am not being a biased bitch right now.

I abhor exams because

it pretty much ruined my room and my weight

Pikachu ate my chemistry notes

Currently addicted to this

Some random shit I did just to memorise the reactivity of metals

3 papers left for next week.
Gonna spend the rest of my weekend relaxing and cramping a whole bunch of Biology stuff in my brain.

Anyway some random Jae photo I found today

waylt

Off I go to Marina Bay Sands,
gonna watch Lion King (as in the musical, theater, whatever one) tonight.

Maybe you're falling upwards, then.

I'm not really the type of person who spent countless of hours reading story books. I'm not a lazyass. More to, I-dont-really-have-the-time-because-of-this-thing-called-as-school.  But sometimes I find myself wandering around Livejournal or Soshified to find something decent to read, and I stumbled upon this, perfect description of being in love in a fanfic.

Yes, in a fanfic.

A freaking Yuri fanfic.

"You've been in love before, right?" she asks me candidly. Of course, I tell her. "Then you know what it's like when you first meet them. You're a mess because your brain and your mouth refuse to cooperate and the person you thought you were is nothing like the person they're changing you into. No one makes you feel as weak and vulnerable as they do and you once thought it'd be the worst possible feeling in the world but instead, it turns out to be the best."

I watch her speak and become struck with an odd feeling of jealousy. Her description is nothing like anything I have ever experienced and I find myself doubting if I truly have ever loved.

"But that's supposed to pass," she continues. "You're supposed to get over it after a while and get back to normal. I haven't though. I'm still falling for her and I don't know when I'll stop."

"Maybe you're falling upwards, then," I suggest jokingly.

But she doesn't find it as humorous and nods her head understandingly.

"Maybe."

This is, perfection. Its simple. Not exquisite, yet explains all the feelings and emotions we had when we're in love.

"You're a mess because your brain and your mouth refuse to cooperate and the person you thought you were is nothing like the person they're changing you into. No one makes you feel as weak and vulnerable as they do and you once thought it'd be the worst possible feeling in the world but instead, it turns out to be the best."

That whole chunk of paragraph is like magic. I meant, it explains how love affect us both emotionally and physically. You know, that moment when you tried to talk to your crush, and suddenly the stiff air in between you fell heavily upon your mouth, making it difficult for you to speak up?  Or when your body stiffened when you see your crush and their tiniest actions and their most precise of words? And you thought that it'd be the worst possible feeling in the world but instead it turns out to be the best?

That's just an epic sentence and I have no idea how to top that.

This is, the beauty of fanfic. Y'all.

This is YoonYul btw, from the fic: The Upward Fall.

Album Unboxing: B1A4's "Lets Fly"

I tried to restrain myself from getting a copy of this but in the end I'm getting it for real.

Got this from HMV (effing overpriced, thank god my parents were there) and I need to admit I really like the songs inside and the packaging of the album itself is really good. I'm not really fond of rookie groups (except for Infinite) and this group, B1A4 came out with their title song "O.K". I'm not a fan of over-autotuned songs so I think the songs inside their first mini album are quite okay.

Scans can be found here.

Btw I personally picked Jinyoung as my favorite member. Maybe because of his voice instead of his looks.
